Arte Italica honors the vision of its founder, Ann Skidmore, by offering the very best in quality and creative home décor design. Ann formed Arte Italica in 1997, as a response to her love of Italian history, culture, art and especially vintage pewter. Finding it difficult to acquire in the United States, she began importing this fine Italian pewter. Soon, she was designing and importing handcrafted ceramics, glass and bronze. In 2000, Ann and Arte Italica became the first to combine pewter and ceramic into beautiful and unique dinnerware and accessories. This collection, the Tuscan Collection, has been a best seller ever since. And of course, Ann continues to travel Europe to inspire her elegant and innovative designs, which consistently energize our amazing collections.
Arte Italica continually strives to design and introduce innovative products that cannot be found elsewhere in the marketplace. This is obvious in our subsequent dinnerware introductions. In the Lino collection, also a ceramic and pewter combination, we introduced a color and texture resembling fine linen. In the Tesoro and Splendore collections, we introduced the first pewter and glass combinations. We take great pride in being trendsetters in our industry with these innovative designs, colors and material combinations. We plan to continue on this path for years to come.
As one of the leading importers of luxury European décor, we capture the essence of Europe in each of our collections. Every piece is handcrafted using the same techniques passed down through generations of skilled artisans. This dedication to handcrafting, allows us to offer one-of-a-kind collections, an attribute for which we are well known throughout the industry.
Yet another unique feature of Arte Italica is evidenced by the fact that our collections blend beautifully with one another in seemingly endless combinations. Not only do they blend effortlessly together, they also enhance other tableware collections. This versatility guarantees the uniqueness and longevity of our pieces.
We hope you enjoy exploring the rare beauty inherent in the Arte Italica way of life.
